Vintage 2015

One of the great vintages, wines in a proud tradition…

“2015 vintage is shaping up to be one of our best ever”, says McGuigan Wines Chief Winemaker, Neil McGuigan.
Cool weather makes for elegant wines, and cool conditions early in spring meant a late budburst – the first flowering of the buds that will eventually flower into grapes.
Some windy, dry conditions during flowering have reduced yields, and lower yields invariably mean higher quality wines.
A very dry growing season gave our winemaking teams some concerns, but November rains saved the day.
As your read this the grapes are being picked and the wines are beginning to be made, the great wines from all varieties and blends that will bear the 2015 vintage on their labels.
